ANDERSON, S.C.- The Queens University of Charlotte women's soccer team (6-2, 4-0 SAC) took on the Anderson University Trojans (2-4-1, 0-2-1 SAC), defeating them 1-0 in overtime in tonight's South Atlantic Conference showdown. The shutout win is the fifth of the season for Queens who leads the league in the category.

In the first half, the Royals put on a show offensively but could not find the back of the net. Queens opened the first half outshooting Anderson 9-5 placing five shots on goals to Anderson's two.Â

In the second half, Queens would control possession for much of the period accounting for 11 shots, five of which were on goal. Â However, things remained tied at 0-0 at the end of regulation forcing the game into extra time.

Emma Rose Stockton scored tonight's game-winner in the 93rd minute, recording her second game-winner for the season. Stockton currently has three goals and six points for the season.

Erica Turner recorded her sixth win of the season after totaling three saves.

Queens will be back home on Saturday, October 2 welcoming Carson-Newman University to Dickson Field.
