No. 5 Queens Earns Top Seed in NCAA South Region

Full Bracket

CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  For the first time in program history, the Queens University of Charlotte women's lacrosse team has earned the No. 1 seed in the NCAA DII South Region. This will be the Royals' fourth time advancing to the NCAA Championships with their last coming during the 2019 season when they reached the Final Four.

The Royals enter the Championships with a 12-1 record after recently securing their sixth South Atlantic Conference Regular Season Championship and their seventh SAC Championship Tournament title. The only blemish on their record this season came out of the region at the hands of No. 1 UIndy early in the season.

Seeded second in the region is No. 13 Limestone while No. 18 Mount Oliver earned the No. 3 seed. Florida Southern University will serve as the South Region host in Lakeland, Florida.

Queens will receive a first-round bye and face the winner of Limestone versus Mount Olive on May 16. The first-round game will take place on May 14.
