CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Queens University of Charlotte men's volleyball team (10-9; 4-0 IVA) rallied late to defeat Lincoln Memorial (5-8) in five sets (26-24, 25-27, 24-26, 25-13, 15-13). The Royals won the final two sets of the night to remain undefeated in IVA competition.
After the first three sets ending in extra points, Queens tied the match with a dominant fourth frame winning 25-13. In set five, the Royals rallied back from a 10-6 deficit and scored the final two points of the night to win 15-13.
Queens was propelled by a career-high 54 assists from sophomore,
Brandon Grabow. Seniors,
Tristan Santoyo and
Nic Cavallaro each collected 18 kills for the Royals who hit .252 for the evening.
The Royals and Railsplitters finished the match with nearly identical final statistics. For the ninth time this season, Queens finished the match in five sets. They are 5-4 in five-set matches this season
Queens will stay home to take on Mount Olive on March 18 at 6 p.m.
