Curreri Finishes Fourth at Midwest Classic

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Queens University of Charlotte men's wrestling team competed in the 42nd Midwest Classic hosted by the University of Indianapolis. The Royals placed 26th with 27.5 team points. Noah Curreri (184 lb) led the way winning four of his six matches to claim fourth place in the competitive field with 14.5 team points.

Melvin Rubio (125 lb) had a strong tournament winning three matches to accumulate seven total points. Stephon Halliburton (174 lb) won two matches earning 3.5 points. Riley Kuhn (197) won a match by fall for two points and Toure Moore (149) won a match by decision for 0.5 points to round out the Royals scoring efforts.

Queens is on the road to start the new year for a non-conference match at Kutztown University in Pennsylvania on January 8.
