CHARLOTTE, NC
- The Queens men's wrestling team (1-1; 1-1 SAC/CC) split a pair of season-opening conference matches defeating Emmanuel, 28-27 before falling to Belmont Abbey, 30-13.

Trailing 27-4, the Royals rattled off three straight pins by senior Noah Curreri, and sophomores Jay Skalecki and Hunter Tobiasson before winning the final match by forfeit to complete a 24 point comeback victory.

Queens kept competitive with Belmont Abbey in the final match of the night propelled by wins from Jude Lloyd, Curreri, and Tobiasson, but ultimately fell short of upsetting the Crusaders.

Queens returns to action Saturday, January 15th taking on Lander University in Greenwood, S.C. at 7 pm.
