Kutztown, PA - The Queens University of Charlotte men's wrestling team 3-6 (1-1 SAC/CC) lost all four of its quartet of matches on its Saturday trip to the East Coast. The Royals fell to second-ranked Pittsburgh-Johnstown 30-9, to nineteenth-ranked Kutztown 27-12, to Shippensburg 24-15, and to Millersville 32-14.
While Queens comes home winless, the Royals held their own against four quality opponents. Junior
Stephon Halliburton (174 lb) led the way finishing unbeaten winning all four matches. Fellow junior
Melvin Rubio (125) followed winning three of four while
Devinaire Hayes (141) and
Hunter Tobiasson (197) each won two.
Queens returns home to South Atlantic Conference Carolinas action Thursday, January 23rd as they host Mount Olive at 7 p.m.
