The Saints never trailed in the first set of action, building an advantage as large as seven points at 20-13 on a Rivera kill. Queens cut the deficit to five points multiple times down the stretch but couldn't overcome the large Limestone lead.
Santoyo put the Royals on the board first in the second set as Queens held a brief lead before a 4-0 run put the Saints ahead 7-4. Queens cut the Limestone to one point twice during the frame but six unanswered points helped the Saints pull away late and build a 2-0 match lead.
Limestone once again led from start to finish in the third set of action to seal the straight set win on its home floor.
Queens has a quick turnaround as the team hosts Independent Volleyball Association foe Lincoln Memorial University tomorrow at 4 p.m. in the Levine Center.
