CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Queens University of Charlotte women's soccer team played Tusculum College tonight, winning their second South Atlantic Conference (SAC) game of the season, 2-0. The Royals now sit at 4-1-1 on the season and 2-1 in the conference. This matchup leaves Tusculum at 4-2 on the year and 2-1 in the league.

In the first half, the Royals got six shots off while Tusculum would have two shots on goal. However, neither team would be able to put the ball in the back of the net giving the game a 0-0 score at the half.

Queens'
Charlotte Ring got the Royals on the board in the 57th minute after receiving a through ball which gave her a one-on-one breakaway with Pioneers goalie, Hannah Graham. The Royals second and final goal of the game would come in the 76th minute when Graham bobbled the ball in front of the net allowing
Lulu Phan to get a foot on it and put it in the back of the net.

The Royals put seven shots on goal to the Pioneers three, and Queens' goalkeeper,
Rachel Quest, made three saves.

Queens will travel to Jefferson City, Tenn., for a match with No. 9 Carson-Newman College on Saturday, September 23 at 6:30 p.m. The Royals fell 3-0 to the Eagles in last season's regular season game.
