SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte wrestling team defeated Belmont-Abbey College and Spartanburg Methodist College in a pair of dual meets on Thursday. The Royals topped Belmont Abbey's junior varsity team 38-9, and beat Spartanburg Methodist College 30-12.
"Tonight was our best performance of our young program's history," said head coach
Ken Chertow. "Everyone was aggressive and always working to score.

Drew Barrett, and
Devinaire Hayes performed particularly well and have been undefeated in the past two events combining for a 13-0 record."
Queens next competes on Jan. 11, in a tri-meet versus Spartanburg Methodist and the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in Pembroke, N.C.
