CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team handled the Blue Bears of Livingstone College this evening winning 104-60. The victory moves the No. 2 Royals' record to 4-0 and gives Queens Head Coach
Bart Lundy his 300
th career win. Livingstone opens its season at 0-1.

Jalin Alexander led the Royals in their 44-point win finishing with 20 points after scoring 17 points by the half. The senior was nearly perfect from the floor connecting on 8-of-10 shots.
Lewis Diankulu followed with 13 points in just 13 minutes of play, while
Trevor Recio totaled 10 points in 11 minutes of action.
Shaun Willett was just shy of a double-double after recording nine points and nine rebounds.
Daniel Carr added eight points and seven assists, and
Josh Brodowicz found his first points of the year netting a new career-high seven points.

Queens began tonight's game with a 5-0 run and never looked back. A 17-6 spurt helped the Royals build a 14-point lead, 26-12, with just under 10 minutes left in the half, and Queens would extend its lead to 26 before the break. At the half, the Royals led 48-26.

By the midway point of the second, Queens had increased its margin over Livingstone to 40, 74-34. A jumper from
Solomon Smith would give the Royals their largest lead of the night, 91-47, with 3:54 to play, and a bucket from Willett later put the Royals over the 100-point mark for the first time this season with 1:54 on the clock.

Queens continued its impressive shooting this evening, posting a 64.5 field goal percentage compared to Livingstone who struggled shooting just at 26.6-percent. In the second half, the Royals shot nearly 71-percent from the floor. The Royals dominated the Blue Bears in the paint outscoring them, 58-20. Additionally, Queens' bench outscored Livingstone's, 50-27.

Roger Ray totaled 22 points to lead the Blue Bears. Malik Smith added 10 points.

Queens will complete play in the JCSU Tip-Off Classic tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m. when they face the Golden Bulls. The Royals are currently on a three-game winning streak over JCSU after picking up an 89-83 win last season.
Mike Davis and Alexander each scored 17 points, while
Todd Withers added 13 points.
Ike Agusi chipped in with 10 points.
