CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte women's soccer team (8-2-1) extended their winning streak to four tonight as they defeated Pfeiffer University, 3-0. The Falcons fall to 7-5 on the year with the loss.
With a scoreless first half, the Royals would open the scoring in the second with a goal in the 51
st minute.
Alana Jefferson put the ball in the back of the net after receiving a pass from
Charlotte Ring to put Queens up 1-0. The Royals kept the pressure on and in the 57
th minute
Lulu Phan would receive a pass from
Miranda Dechant and chip the keeper. The final goal of the game came from the Royals'
Taylor Hunkele, who slotted the ball right past the Falcons' goalkeeper, Kaley Hyatt.

Rachel Quest grabbed her fifth shutout of the season. Jefferson led the Royals attack with three shots on goal. She was followed by Phan and Hunkele who had two apiece, and
Leanne Bryant and Ring who each had one.
Queens travels to Newberry College on Saturday, October 14 for a South Atlantic Conference (SAC) match set for 1 p.m.
