Postgame Interviews
Highlights

CHARLOTTE, N.C
. - The Queens University of Charlotte women's soccer team extended its winning streak to seven with a 4-0 win over Coker College (2-9-1, 1-7) on Senior Night. The Royals, ranked third in the NCAA DII regional rankings, now sit at 11-2-1 overall and 8-2 in the South Atlantic Conference.

The Royals opened the scoring in the 15th minute of play when Emma Rose Stockton slotted the ball into the open net to put the team up 1-0. Queens kept pressuring the Cobras and in the 17th minute Lulu Phan chipped the keeper to add another goal to the board for the Royals.

The Royals third and final goal of the half came from Alana Jefferson in the 24th minute. The senior gathered the ball in front of the goal after receiving a pass from Alyssa Bosak, and flicked it behind herself towards the net. A Coker defender deflected the shot into the net resulting in an own goal. Jefferson would be awarded the goal.

The Royals then grabbed one more goal in the second half from senior Mariah Lewis, the first of her career, in the 71st minute. After taking a shot that was turned away by Coker's keeper, Lewis headed the rebound into the net for the score.

Queens outshot the Cobras, 21-2, putting 11 shots on goal. Goalkeeper Rachel Quest grabbed one save and her eighth shutout of the season. The shutout win was the 11th of the season for Queens, a new program record.

During halftime of tonight's game, the team celebrated its six seniors, Mariah Lewis, Jasmin Singh, Alana Jefferson, Stephanie Lewis, Kayla Washabaugh, and Madison Kroger.

The Royals travel to Gaffney, South Carolina on Wednesday, October 21 to play Limestone College in their final regular season game before they head into the post season. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
