SALISBURY, N.C.- The Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball team fell on the road to Catawba on Wednesday, January 04, 2017. The Royals dropped in the game 73-41 moving to a 3-9 record overall and 3-4 within the South Atlantic Conference. Catawba, who ranks 10
th in the Southeast Region D2SIDA Poll, moved to 9-3 overall and 6-1 within the SAC.

Sarah Henson led the team with 13 points in the game as she made five-of-six free-throws during the competition. She was followed by
Cheyenne Logan who totaled 10 points in addition to tying for the team high in rebounds with four. Â

Catawba found 21 points from Bri Johnson who led the floor. She was followed by Terri Rogers who secured a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Elizabeth Webb added another 15 points to the Indians' night.

Catawba led the game early, going up 42-22 in the first half of competition. Despite the lead, Queens fought to add points as Logan made a layup to bring the team within four with two minutes to play in the first quarter. The Royals looked for shots in the second quarter with the lone, opening minutes point coming from Logan.
Mendy McNeese broke the dry spell at the six minute mark, finding a lane to the basket to bring the team to a 27-15 score. She followed with another basket moments later.

Maggie Stewart found the net early to start the second half but Catawba answered with a 16-2 run, pushing the score out to a 35 point gap.
Lolita Bulatova gave the Royals four points off two free-throws and a layup to end the third quarter at 63-33, Indians. Queens added points in the last 10 minutes of play but the team could not make up the difference, despite 10 points coming from Henson.

The Royals will be back at home on Saturday, January 7 against No. 10 Lincoln Memorial. The game will tip off at 6 p.m.
