CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte women's soccer team faced Catawba College at home this evening handing the Indians their first South Atlantic Conference loss of the season. The Royals would win 1-0 to improve to 5-5 on the year and 3-3 in the league. The Indians drop to 6-2-1 on the year and 5-1 in the SAC.

Rachel Quest picked up a save on the Indians' only shot on goal in the period in the 39

Catawba tried to knot things up in the second half, finding three chances to put a shot on goal. Fortunately for Queens, Quest was there on each attempt to collect the save ultimately helping her team tally a win.

The Royals outshot Catawba 13-8 as both teams put four shots on goal.

Queens will be on the road for their next game as they take on the Lions of Mars Hill University on Friday, October 7 at 5 p.m. The Royals defeated the Lions last season by a score of 4-1.
