ANDERSON, S.C. –The Queens University of Charlotte women's soccer team defeated Anderson University 4-1 this afternoon on the road to extend their win streak to four. The Royals improve to 6-3 in South Atlantic Conference play and 8-5 on the year, while the Trojans fall to 4-4-1 in the league and 7-5-1 on the season.
 
The Royals saw their first goal of the day early in the seventh minute when sophomore forward Charlotte Ring found the back of the net after taking a pass up the middle from freshman midfielder Miranda Dechant. Senior midfielder Julianna Tucker followed Ring's goal with another in the 17^th, scoring off of a corner kick from senior defender Ashley Osiecki.
 
Queens' Alana Jefferson scored a third goal for the visitors in the 35^th minute to give the Royals 3-0 lead they would hold until the break. Sydney Michelin assisted on the play. Jefferson also scored in the second half, putting the ball in the net in the 75^th.
 
The Trojans saw their lone goal of the day scored in the second half by Megan Foster. Foster scored in the 59^th unassisted.
 
Queens outshot Anderson 19-10, putting 11 shots on frame. Rachel Quest grabbed the win after totaling seven saves.
 
Queens will travel to face Coker on Saturday, October 22 at 4:30 p.m. The Royals won 4-1 over the Cobras last season with Charlotte Ring, Jill Clark and Kathy Fisher scoring in the win.
