ANDERSON, S.C. –The Queens University of Charlotte women's soccer team defeated Anderson University 4-1 this afternoon on the road to extend their win streak to four. The Royals improve to 6-3 in South Atlantic Conference play and 8-5 on the year, while the Trojans fall to 4-4-1 in the league and 7-5-1 on the season.

The Royals saw their first goal of the day early in the seventh minute when sophomore forward
Charlotte Ring found the back of the net after taking a pass up the middle from freshman midfielder
Miranda Dechant. Senior midfielder
Julianna Tucker followed Ring's goal with another in the 17
th, scoring off of a corner kick from senior defender
Ashley Osiecki.

Queens'
Alana Jefferson scored a third goal for the visitors in the 35
th minute to give the Royals 3-0 lead they would hold until the break.
Sydney Michelin assisted on the play. Jefferson also scored in the second half, putting the ball in the net in the 75
th.

The Trojans saw their lone goal of the day scored in the second half by Megan Foster. Foster scored in the 59
th unassisted.

Queens outshot Anderson 19-10, putting 11 shots on frame.
Rachel Quest grabbed the win after totaling seven saves.

Queens will travel to face Coker on Saturday, October 22 at 4:30 p.m. The Royals won 4-1 over the Cobras last season with

Kathy Fisher scoring in the win.
