CHARLOTTE, N.C. –Queens University of Charlotte's
Kathy Fisher of the women's soccer team scored two goals to help the Royals grab their third win in a row this evening. The Royals defeated Newberry College by a score of 2-0 to move to 5-3 in South Atlantic Conference play and 7-5 on the year. The Wolves drop to 2-5-1 in the league and 5-9-1 on the year.

After a scoreless first half, the Royals scored in the 52
nd minute to take the lead. Fisher would get a pass from
Charlotte Ring on a breakaway to go one-on-one with Newberry's goalkeeper for the score. Fisher then found the back of the net once more in the 54
th with a shot from 30 yards out that soared over the Wolves' back line and keeper.

The Royals outshot Newberry 20-9, putting seven shots on goal.
Rachel Quest totaled three saves in goal for her fifth shutout of the year.

Queens will travel to face Anderson on Wednesday, October 19 at 5 p.m. Last season, the Royals defeated Anderson 2-0.
