MISENHEIMER, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte volleyball's conference woes continued Tuesday night as they traveled to Pfeiffer University. The Royals were not greeted with a warm reception, as they were swept (17-25, 16-25, 18-25) in just over an hour of action at Merner Gym. With the loss, Queens falls to 3-8 overall, 1-1 in Conference Carolinas, while Pfeiffer improves to 4-6, 1-1.
Bright spots for the Royals included a 19-assist, 3-dig evening from
Erinn Moore (Longwood, Fla., Lake Mary). Also contributing was
Brittany Harvey (Matthews, N.C., Sun Valley ), who added 8 kills, 6 digs, and a block in the loss.
Brittany Dickens led the way with 9 kills, 3 assists, and 3 aces for a balanced Pfeiffer attack. Vanessa Gerig also enjoyed a busy night as she accumulated 4 kills, 20 assists, 2 aces, 15 digs, and a block.
Queens will welcome a struggling North Greenville team (1-7 in last 8 games) to Ovens Athletics Center on Wednesday at 6:30.
