Myrtle Beach, S.C.- Queens University of Charlotte women's golf had a fantastic finish at its second tournament of the fall season. The Royals impressive finish at the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate Invitational was marked by a second place finish to Wingate University. The tournament was hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne and Queens shot a total of 652 for the two day tournament, splitting the score with a 326 each day. Wingate University claimed the victory, shooting 638 for the weekend, just seven strokes ahead of Queens.
Camilla Mallburg (Stockholm, Sweden, Danderyds Gymnasium) led Queens by shooting 159 for the weekend, making her 15 over par. Hillary Armel (Stephens City, Va. , Sherando )and Megan Ritch (Asheboro, N.C., Southwestern Randolph ) followed closing, both shooting 161 and finishing 17 over par.
The Royals are coming off of a successful tournament that they hosted in September, and they are gearing up for the Conference Carolinas preview on October 19th.
