Senior outside hitter Keri Kemp has been selected as the September InterCon Student-Athlete of the Month after leading her team’s transition to the South Atlantic Conference.

“Keri is a team captain and displays herself in good character both with her play on the court as well as off the court,” said Queens head coach Lettie Wilkes. “Over the past four seasons she has gotten better and better and will definitely be a highlight for the University for years as one of the top volleyball athletes to come out of Queens.”

Kemp had 112 kills and three games of double digit digs throughout the month of September. Kemp currently sits second in the conference in kills per set with 3.89. She recently registered her 1,000^th career kill, which puts her second all-time in the Queens history books.
