Sophomore forward Erick Suarez has been selected as the September InterCon Student-Athlete of the Month after helping the Royals get off to their best start under Head Coach Oliver Carias.
 
“Erick has made a tremendous impact on our team on and off the field this year,” said Coach Carias. “He has showed great character in difficult times and he is always willing to work hard for his teammates, friends and our school.”
 
During the month the Royals went 7-1, winning seven games in a row. Suarez recorded seven goals to lead Queens in goals. He also notched two assists giving the Mexico City native 16 points in September. In the Royals’ 5-2 win at Brevard, Suarez put the first hat trick of his collegiate career in the books.
