Antonio Stabler has been selected as the January InterCon Student-Athlete of the Month after helping the Royals go 7-1 for first place in the East Division of Conference Carolinas.

The junior forward averaged 12.8 points and 7.5 rebounds for Queens making him the second leading scorer and top rebounder for the month. He recorded back-to-back double-doubles in the Royals' wins over Limestone and Pfeiffer. Stabler collected 10 points and 17 rebounds against the Saints and 11 points and 11 rebounds agaisnt the Falcons.

"Antonio Stabler has continually matured both on and off the floor during his career here at Queens," commented Coach Wes Long. "He is widely thought of by our staff and other coaches as our most talented and versatile player, and during the month of January 2012 he returned to that form as he led Queens to a 7-1 record and we staked claim to first place in the conference."

Stabler currently holds a 3.05 GPA and is a member of the Sports Marketing Association here at Queens. He also serves as a mentor to a seventh grader at Eastway Middle School through the "Books and Basketball Buddies" mentorship program established by the men's basketball program.
