Kimone Hewitt has been selected as the October InterCon Student-Athlete of the Month after leading the Royals to their third consecutive Conference Carolinas Championship team title. Hewitt, herself, dominated the field winning her second individual conference title, breaking the conference record in the process.

Hewitt also finished in fifth place at the Royal Cross Country Challenge in a mixed DI/DII field. Her time of 17:40.56 is the fastest in school history. She was the top DII finisher and the runner-up collegiate finisher as well. Her performance helped the Royals clinch third place behind DI squads Florida State and Elon as Queens finished as the top DII school in the field of 11 teams.
