Polina Lapshina of the women's swimming team has been named February InterCon Female Student-Athlete of the Month.

Lapshina, a senior from Ekaterinurg, Russia, led the Royals to their sixth straight Bluegrass Conference Championship in February. She won a total of four individual events at the Championships as well as being a member of three relay event wins. For her efforts, Lapshina was named the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships Female Swimmer of the Meet.
