Junior Tristan Santoyo of the men's volleyball team has been named January Male InterCon Student-Athlete of the Month.

Santoyo opened the 2020 season in dominating fashion, registering 133 kills, (4.19/set) while hitting .298 from the outside in eight matches during the month.
 
The Diamond Bar, Calif. Tallied 60 digs (1.94/set), 11 service aces and 20 total blocks. Santoyo had three matches of 20 or more kills, including a career-high 28 kills on the road against Barton College. He was also awarded the Off the Block Independent Teams Player of the Week honor.
