Queens University of Charlotte Athletics

Junior Marius Kusch has been named January InterCon Male Student-Athlete of the Month after having an outstanding month, competing at both the collegiate and international levels.
 
For Queens, Kusch won four individual races and was a member of four top-finishing relay teams as the team competed in a dual meet against NCAA Division I Duke University as well as the South Carolina College Invitational against NCAA Division I programs University of South Carolina, East Carolina University and UNC-Wilmington as well as fellow Bluegrass Mountain Conference member Wingate University.
 
Internationally, Kusch competed for his native country of Germany in the European Short Course Championships where he won a bronze medal.
 
He currently is the top swimmer among all NCAA Division II participants in the 100-Yard Freestyle (43.25) and the 200-Yard Butterfly (1:43.50) with NCAA 'A' Standard times in both events.
