Rebecca Cochran of the women's volleyball team has been named September InterCon Female Student-Athlete of the Month.

Cochran helped the women's volleyball team go 9-4 in the month of September after playing in 49 sets over 13 matches for the Royals. The senior outside hitter totaled 161 kills during the month after recording double-digit kills in nine matches. A highlight of the month was when Cochran totaled 21 kills against Coker which was a season-high at the time. The captain also got the job done on the defensive end tallying 208 digs and 14 blocks. She would go on to accumulate nine double-doubles in the month.  
 
"Rebecca is a two- year captain for our team," said Queens Head Women's Volleyball Coach Hannah Long. "We have leaned on her not only as one of our top producers on the court but also as a lead by example athlete and off the court role model to a very young team this year."
