Junior Ashley Osiecki was named InterCon Student-Athlete of the Month after helping the Royals get off to a great start in September.
Osiecki, a junior defender, helped the Royals post a 3-5-1 record during the month. Osiecki notched one goal, which was the game-winner over Tusculum, and two assists. She was also key in the Queens being able to tally three shutouts as part of the Royals’ backline.
“During the month of September we played six teams that are regionally ranked and two teams nationally ranked, and Ashley was instrumental in our team’s defensive efforts in our results against such a tough strength of schedule,” said Katie Talbert, Queens head women’s soccer coach. “She is one of the most dedicated, athletic, coachable, and talented players I have ever had the pleasure to work with.”
