Distance runner Yannick Stubbe was named InterCon Student-Athlete of the Month after a great showing at the SAC Championships in April.

Stubbe won the Conference Freshmen of the year award as well as the Track Athlete of the Year Award at the SAC Championship. His efforts at the championship helped the Royals earn the championship title for the first time in school history. At the SAC Championship, Stubbe posted a time of 1:54.75 in the 800 meter run to place second. He also took second place in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:01.45. The runner’s first place finish at the championship came in the 5000 meter run where he crossed the finish line in 15.11.84. Following the SAC Championship, Stubbe posted his lowest time of the month in the 800 meter at the Radford Highlander, taking third place in 1:52.69.
