Savannah Moore

Savannah Moore joined the Queens University of Charlotte women's volleyball program in May of 2024.

"We are really excited to have Coach Moore join our program," Long said of Moore. "She helped start and build a program at Young Harris which saw a record-setting season in 2023. Our athletes are going to truly benefit from her expertise on and off the court."

Moore served as the assistant coach for the Young Harris women's volleyball program under head coach Jenny Michael since their inaugural 2020 season. Moore's responsibilities included coordinating recruits for their campus visits, organizing detailed practice schedules and evaluating statistical data and tapes of competition matches to provide feedback and strategy.

In only their fourth season, Moore aided in taking the Mountain Lions to their first-ever Conference Carolinas Tournament in November of 2023. The team pieced together a 10-17 overall record and a 7-10 conference record.

In addition to her collegiate coaching experience, the Sharpsburg, Ga. native also served as an evaluator and coach for SRVA High Performance from 2021 to 2024. In her day-to-day responsibilities, Moore evaluated individual knowledge, skills, and strengths and assigned team positions to maximize talent areas all while selecting athletes for High Performance team and camps.

"I am so excited to be joining the Queens coaching staff," Moore said. "I want to thank Coach Long for this amazing opportunity to work with some incredible athletes. I can't wait to get in the gym and help this program reach new heights. Go Royals!"

Moore earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from Troy University in 2020 and starred as a middle blocker for the Trojans. Moore ranks third all-time at Troy in career solo blocks (49) and career blocks per set (0.82).
