Mark Jahad joined the Royals in the fall of 2022.
Jahad is a graduate of N.C. State University and holds a bachelor's degree in parks, recreation, and tourism management with a concentration in program management. The state champion high school wrestler from Cary, N.C., was a four-year member of the Wolfpack wrestling team. In addition to working with the Royals, Jahad is currently a full-time associate search consultant for Manpower Engineering staffing solutions.
 After graduation, Jahad earned a job as a health and wellness coach at the YMCA of the Triangle where he was a certified personal trainer with certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA CPT). Jahad was also a group fitness instructor, and eventually became the assistant wellness director for the YMCA before deciding to make a career move to follow his passion of coaching wrestling. Additionally, Jahad has high school coaching experience while serving as the volunteer assistant wrestling coach at Clayton, Enloe, Cleveland, and Cary HIgh School in North Carolina. Most recently, while living in Nashville, Tenn., he served as the assistant coach at Ravenwood High School. Jahad is married to Alexa Martin and they live happily in Charlotte, NC.
Accomplishments:
- Four-year scholarship letterman wrestler at North Carolina State University (2005-2009).
- Member of the Wolfpack 2007 ACC Championship team; 3rd place finish at the ACC individual championships senior season in 2009.
- 3-year starter at Cary High School in Cary, North Carolina (2002-2005) under National Wrestling Hall of Fame coach Jerry Winterton.
- NCHSAA Individual State Champion as a senior in 2005 in the 189lb. weight division; Finished senior season with a record of 56-1, losing only to the #1 ranked wrestler in the country, respectively.
- Career record of 178-21 (3 years); Remains on the NCHSAA all-time career most wins list
- Top 20 ranked wrestler by USA Wrestling in the final national ranking for the 189lb. division as a senior in 2005.
- Led Cary High as a Senior Captain to earn the Dual Team and Individual team State Championship titles in 2005.
- Placed 3rd and 5th at the NCHSAA Individual Championships in 2004 and 2003 in the 171lb. division. 3x State placer, 3x Regional placer, and 3x conference champion.
