CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Queens University of Charlotte Department of Athletics is set to announce its annual department award winners across its multiple social media channels during the summer months, honoring the accomplishments of its student-athletes during the 2025-26 season.
The department awards will be released every Tuesday and Thursday. Today, the department is announcing the Individual Championship Performance of the Year Award.

Male Athlete Winner: Nasir Mann - Men's Basketball
The Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team captured the 2026 Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament Championship, earning the first conference title in program history with a 98-93 overtime win over top-seeded Central Arkansas. Senior Nasir Mann was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player after helping lead the Royals through their postseason run.
In the championship game, Mann recorded 14 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and three steals while playing a key role on both ends of the floor. The senior forward consistently provided production throughout the tournament as Queens secured its first ASUN title and NCAA Tournament appearance.
Mann's all-around performance and leadership earned him All-Tournament recognition and the ASUN Tournament MVP award.

Female Athlete Winner: Beth Cook - Triathlon
Queens University of Charlotte triathlon's Beth Cook earned the top individual finish at the 2026 NCAA Division I East Region Qualifier, helping the Royals capture their fourth consecutive East Region Championship.
Cook finished first overall in the individual standings as Queens defeated No. 1 Arizona State and No. 3 San Francisco to claim the regional title. The victory marked Queens' first win over Arizona State since 2016 and the first East Region Qualifier championship under Director of Triathlon Miles Fowler.
Cook's performance helped lead the Royals to another regional championship and secured her recognition as one of the top performers in the field.
