CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte Department of Athletics is set to host Fuel the Fire: Celebrating the Voices, Stories & Opportunities that Champion Girls & Women in Sport on Thursday, February 26.
 
The event, which aims to shine a spotlight on the people, moments, and movements that fuel the fire to lift girls and women higher, will feature Molly Grantham delivering a powerful keynote, Bet on Yourself, followed by a moderated panel. Serving as panelists with Grantham will be Girls on the Run International founder Molly Barker, Olympian Anna Cockrell, President of Bank of America Charlotte Kieth Cockrell, and Bank of America Alumni Network Chair Andrea Smith.
 
"I am extremely excited to welcome this group of individuals to campus to discuss a topic that means so much to every one of us," Queens Director of Athletics Cherie Swarthout commented. "The passion that each panelist has for supporting and lifting girls and women is so very important because it takes a village working together toward a common goal to truly be effective. That village fuels the fire."
