THE SHORT STORY:
Queens men's tennis opened its 2026 spring season on the road Tuesday, falling 7-0 to North Carolina. The Royals were tested early by a strong Tar Heel lineup and ultimately dropped all six singles matches and three doubles courts in their season debut.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- UNC earned the doubles point with 6-1 wins on courts two and three. Queens top tandem of
Jan Montero Diaz and
Alex Morris trailed 3-5 when the match was halted.
- In singles, Montero Diaz and
Diego Jimenez each picked up a pair of games before falling in straight sets. The rest of the lineup faced steady pressure as UNC secured all six courts without dropping a set.
