CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Queens University of Charlotte opened the 2025 season with a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Campbell University on Thursday night at the Queens Sports Complex.

In her debut for the Royals, freshman
Hannah Dike-Lawlor made an immediate impact in goal. Dike-Lawlor entered at halftime and recorded three key saves to preserve the clean sheet, including a pivotal stop in the 74th minute when she came off her line to deny a dangerous scoring chance.

- Freshmen Shion Hwang, McKayla Budion, Grace Acevedo, and Helena Merkle all made their first career starts for Queens, while junior transfers Morgan Kaiser and Erin Coleman earned their first starts as Royals.
- Kelsey Jargstorf started between the posts and recorded one save in the first half.
- Five different Royals registered attempts, Shion Hwang, Juliana Hunter, Mia Banchero, Alivia McCain, and Grace Acevedo. All five efforts were on frame.
- Savannah Stuart, Sejla Podzic, and Ansleigh Prell anchored the back line, each playing the full 90 minutes.

Queens will return home on Sunday at 6 p.m. to face Gardner-Webb in the first meeting between the programs since 1996. The Royals have won all three of their previous matchups at Dickson Field against the Runnin' Bulldogs.
