THE SHORT STORY:
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Queens turned in a competitive effort on its home courts, but visiting North Alabama proved too strong in ASUN action. The Royals picked up a gutsy win at the No. 2 singles position and saw a pair of tight battles at the top of the lineup, but the Lions ultimately came away with the 6-1 team victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- UNA jumped ahead early by claiming the doubles point with wins at the top two courts.

Win Steveker delivered Queens' highlight of the day, grinding out a three-set win on court two (6-4, 4-6, 6-3).
- At No. 1,
Laurenz Blickwede narrowly missed forcing a third set, falling in two tight frames (7-6 (7-5), 7-5).
- Court three featured another thriller, as
Jan Montero Diaz pushed his match to a super tiebreak before falling just short.
- The Lions picked up straight-set victories on courts four, five, and six to seal the result.
