CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Queens University of Charlotte women's rugby team (6-0) defeated cross-town rival UNC-Charlotte in dominant fashion by a final score of 104-0 in 15's competition.
Queens set its all-time match scoring record and pitched its fifth shutout victory to remain undefeated. Ten different Royals scored tries led by Lilly Separ who scored three and
Alani Melo,
Jessica Gozlan,
Mikaela Hall, and
Cecilia Calhoun who each scored two.
Sarah Awad,
Brenna Milligan,
La'Tya Coleman,
Kayla Hoch, and Deborah Tessou each scored one try. Calhoun paced the Royals with seven conversions followed by Hall with two and
Rachel Holloway with one.
Queens has won its last two matches by a combined score of 192-0. The Royals next travel to Blacksburg, Va. to take on Virginia Tech on Saturday, October 2nd at 1 p.m.
