CHARLOTTE, N.C. – After being seeded second overall in the South Atlantic Conference Championship, the Queens University of Charlotte women's soccer team is scheduled to host Tusculum University on Monday, April 5 at Dickson Field in a quarterfinal match at 7 p.m.
The Royals finished the regular season with a 5-1-1 record, only losing to Limestone University, while Tusculum enters the championship tournament with a 2-2-2 record. The Royals have not had the chance to face the Pioneers this season. However, in their last matchup the Royals defeated the Pioneers, 2-0.
Queens' sophomore goalkeeper
Erica Turner has 24 saves so far this season, while having a saving percentage of .923. She currently fifth in the SAC Standings for goalkeepers.
Offensively,
Mia Manuel has six points so far this season, where she totals in two assists, six shots, and two goal.
Emma Rose Stockton has four points, where she currently has 11 shots and two goals this season. She also recorded one game-winning goal.
On the other side, Tusculum's goalkeeper CeCe Mortensen has 42 saves this season, where she is ranked second overall in the SAC. Offensively, Tina Haig has seven points, where she recorded three goals and one assist for the Pioneers. Brianna Garcia has six points on two goals and two assists.
