FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. The Queens University of Charlotte men's wrestling team competed in the NCAA Super Regional II Tournament on Saturday inside Emmanuel College's Shaw Athletic Center taking eighth place as a team with 33.5 points. Additionally, senior
Noah Curreri advanced to the NCAA DII Men's Wrestling Championship for the second consecutive season.

Curreri, competing in the 174-pound weight class, took just one loss on the day falling to Caleb Spears of Newberry who won the weight class. Curreri would advance in the second-place spot.

Additionally,
Hunter Tobiasson just missed a Championship spot falling in the 197-pound weight class second-place match to Bryce Walker of UNC Pembroke.

Noah Gilbert,
Lucas Comroe, and
Josh Voelkel were able to pick up one win each in the consolations round while
Alec Baynard collected his solo win in the opening round. Additionally,
Stephon Halliburton made a run through the consolation round before eventually falling to Jaquez Bostic of Limestone.

No. 20 Newberry won the Regional Tournament while No. 24 UNC Pembroke finished second.

The 2021 NCAA Championships will be held March 12-13 inside the America's Center Convention Complex in St. Louis, Mo.
