CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Queens University of Charlotte men's wrestling team 1-6 (0-3 SACC) lost to No. 22 Newberry 1-2 (1-2 SACC) by a final score of 32-10.

Melvin Rubio (125 lb) opened the match with a tight win by decision to capture a 3-0 lead. Noah Curreri (184 lb) and Austin Watkins (197 lb) teamed up for consecutive wins by decision later in the match, but the Royals fell short to the defending conference champion.

Queens will next compete in the Midwest Classic on December 18-19.
