A leading NCAA Division I competitor and member of the ASUN Conference, Queens University of Charlotte's athletic program spans 35 years. With a diverse roster representing nearly 50 countries, Queens athletes have excelled at the highest level, capturing 32 team national championships, 144 individual national titles, and 108 conference tournament championships. Committed to fostering academic and athletic excellence, the Royals have consistently achieved success both on the field and in the classroom. During their last five years of Division II, the program ranked in the top 10 of the Learfield Directors' Cup. The university's commitment to producing future professional athletes and Olympians is further solidified by its "Olympians and Paralympians Made Here" designation.

Vision

The history of Queens Athletics is extremely important. As we continue to quickly progress as an athletic department, we must also remember where we came from. It was just 1988 that we played our first coeducational sports at Queens. We entered our 30th season of coeducational collegiate athletics after finishing fifth in the 2016-17 NCAA Division II Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup Standings, the highest finish in program history at the time. We have since finished in the Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup top 10 four consecutive years with our highest finish coming at the close of the 2018-19 season when the Royals took fourth place. Queens totals 32 varsity sports at this time with the addition of dance in 2019-20. As we move forward we look to continue to build on the excellent athletic history Queens has already provided in its short history. Queens University of Charlotte student-athletes continued to elevate their work in the classroom this academic year as the department recorded above a 3.0 grade point average for the 15th consecutive year. The 3.46 department GPA surpassed the previous record, which was matched last year. This spring, the Royals turned in a 3.45 GPA, the second-highest GPA in a single semester since the transition to Division 1 in 2022.
