NEWBERRY, S.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte women's volleyball team moved its current winning streak to three matches with a 3-1 (25-16, 25-21, 22-25, 25-18) win over Newberry College inside Eleazer Arena on Friday night.
Queens hit .259 in the match, including an errorless first set, en route to improving their overall record to 9-8 and evening their South Atlantic Conference mark at 5-5. The Wolves was held to just .145 hitting and fell to 7-10 overall and 2-8 in league play.
The Royals had 28 kills and just four errors across the first and second sets of play to claim an early 2-0 match lead. Newberry responded with a strong third set to extend the match before Queens held the Wolves to a .000 hitting percentage in the fourth and final set.
Sophomore
Casey Tarvin led all players with 23 kills and hit .373 in addition to 18 digs for her eighth double-double of the season, while fellow sophomore
Logan Witt followed with 13 kills (.333) and three total blocks.
Another sophomore,
Jordan Proszenyak, had eight kills and 11 digs, followed by five kills, three blocks and a .556 hitting percentage from freshman
Lindsay Elmore. Junior
Mallory Swarts had 46 assist and 11 digs for her fifth double-double, while sophomore
JayCee Jones had a match-high 27 digs on defense.

Queens remains in South Carolina for a 2 p.m matchup with Anderson University.
