MISENHEIMER, N.C. –The Queens University of Charlotte women's soccer team traveled to Pfeiffer University this evening for a nonconference match with the Falcons, falling 1-0. The loss brings the Royals' overall record to 9-6 and ends their win streak, while the Falcons improve to 11-4-1.

Though neither team found the back of the net in the opening half of action, the Royals put three shots on goal that were all turned away by Pfeiffer's goalkeeper, Kaley Hyatt. Queens'
Rachel Quest also had a busy half recording four saves before the break.

After placing the final shot on frame in the first half, junior midfielder
Alana Jefferson would be the one with the best opportunity to score for the Royals in the second. Jefferson placed two additional shots on goal for Queens in the second half, but both would be saved by Hyatt.

The Falcons would see their game winner come from Ryanna Hammond in the 76
th. Kirsten Martin and Aryana Harvey both assisted on the play.

Queens was edged 6-5 in shots on goal after both teams took 11 shots apiece in the game. Quest totaled five saves in the loss.

The Royals will return home to Dickson Field for Senior Day on Saturday at 1 p.m. They will host Brevard College. Last season Queens defeated the Tornados 2-0 with
Charlotte Ring and
Ashley Osiecki scoring goals.
