Charlotte, NC - Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis team came out in electrifying fashion against Johnson C. Smith going 9-0 in their first home match of the year. With the first dual match of the season, Queens rallied to hold the Golden Bulls scoreless on four courts.

Queens took the all three doubles matches conceding only four games total. Will Roberson and Sean Harris took-on the Golden Bulls number one doubles pair Yusef Barnes and Sharif Axam grabbing an 8-3 Royals victory. Queens kept Darrell Sawyer and Tuan Nguyen off the board as Mack Dalton and Zachary Williams took a clean 8-0 win for the number two doubles. Landon Trust and Thomas Hunter Harbin completed the Royals double front taking an 8-1 win over Johnson C. Smith's Tarick Miller and Bradley Guriegono.

Queens maintain their composure heading into the singles matchups as the team took all six matches only giving away four games. Will Roberson lead things off for the Royals on court one with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Darrell Sawyer. Zachary Williams confidently took the second singles for the Royals as he shut out Sharif Axam 6-0, 6-0. Sean Harris and Yusif Barnes would face off for the third singles with Harris coming away victorious in a 6-2, 6-0 Royals win. Mack Dalton securely took court four rattling off all 12 points to take the 6-0, 6-0 win over Tuan Nguyen. Thomas Hunter Harbin would battle it out with Bradley Guriegono on court five for a 6-1, 6-0 victory before Landon Trust would round things out for the Royals with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Tarick Miller in the number six singles.

The Royals travel to Belmont Abbey on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, to face the Crusaders.
