Box Score GREENVILLE, Tenn. – The Royals traveled to face the Pioneers of Tusculum College in their first South Atlantic Conference game of the season, falling 1-0 to the fifth ranked team in the southeast region. The Queens University of Charlotte women's soccer team now sits at 1-5 on the year and 0-1 in the league, while the Pioneers improve to 3-1-1 overall and 1-0 in the SAC.
Tusculum's game-winner would come from Gabrielle Whitt in the 38
th minute of today's game. The assist on the score went to Taylor Lewis. Whitt's goal would be the last shot of the half that saw the Royals outshot 7-2.
The Royals increased their shot count in the second half putting six in the books, but neither would find the back of the net to equalize the match.
Tori Danchak totaled five saves in the game, tallying four in the second half to hold the Pioneers scoreless after the break.
Queens is back at home on Saturday at 6 p.m. as they play host to Brevard College.
