CHARLOTTE, N.C. – With 2:13 to play, a game forced into double overtime by the Royals slipped out of their hands as Valdosta State University's Abbi Edwards shot a deflected ball into the net giving the visiting Blazers a 2-1 victory. Queens University of Charlotte drops to 2-5 with the loss, while Valdosta State remains undefeated on the season at 5-0.
Today's game was one where the Royals' defense battled hard holding a Blazers offense that took 19 shots to one goal in regulation.
