Box Score DUE WEST, S.C. – The Royals traveled to Erskine College this afternoon to face the Flying Fleet for their final regular season women's soccer match of the year. Queens University of Charlotte defeated Erskine 4-1 improving ending their regular season with a 9-8-1 overall record. The Flying Fleet end their season at 3-12-1 and will not advance to the conference tournament.
Queens sitting at 7-3-1 in the league finish fifth and will travel to take on Pfeiffer University on Monday.

Mary Stringini (Shorewood, Minn, Minnetonka) put the Royals up early with a goal in the third minute of play. The freshman forward stepped up to take a corner kick bending the ball into the net for the 1-0 lead. Hayley Rogers would knot the game heading into the break with a goal for the home team.
Queens netted three goals in the final 20-minutes of play to seal their victory, beginning with one from
Nicole Hoff (Cary, N.C., Cary) in the 72
nd. After receiving a pass from
Macie McGuffin (Dallas, Texas, Birdville) the freshman booted a ball from about 30-yards out for the score. Stringini aided in the third goal of the day for Queens scored by
Nadia Butt (Houston, Texas, Cypress Lakes) in the 86
th before Hoff closed the game with another.
The Royals outshot Erskine 16-4, and
Kelsey Seretis (Norfolk, Va., Maury) picked up her ninth win of the season in goal. Stringini now leads the league in assists with nine.
Queens will travel to face Pfeiffer University in the quarterfinal round of the Conference Carolinas Tournament on October 29 at 2 p.m.
