Charlotte, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte volleyball team couldn't sustain the momentum from their win Friday, as they suffered a loss to Conference Carolinas foe Anderson University Saturday afternoon at Ovens Athletics Center. Falling in consecutive games (13-25; 11-25; 17-25) the Royals fall to 5-8 (1-4), while the Trojans jump above .500 at 7-6 (2-2).
In a mum outing, Queens' bright spots were provided by
Tanisha Lea (Efland, N.C., Orange Senior ) (7 kills, 2blocks) and
Sarah Malpass (Gainesville, Fla., Gainesville) (14 digs, 0 errors).
The Trojans received contributions throughout their lineup, accumulating six players with 4+ kills. Leading all scorers was Jamie Lancaster with 12 kills and 9 digs. Lindsay Doggett provided 4 kills and 26 assists in the sweep.
Queens plays next on September 25th at Brevard College. On September 26th, the Royals welcome Limestone College as the first of seven consecutive Conference Carolinas opponents.
