Freshman Hayley Pasko shows her aggression

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (October 25, 2004)

Mount Olive (15-3-0 overall, 7-2-0 CVAC) fell behind early when the Trojans were called for a foul in the box, resulting in a penalty kick by Hayley Pasko to give Queens (7-8-1, 5-4-1) a 1-0 lead at the 4:59 mark. Mount Olive tied the match in the 14th minute when Emily Escolas beat a defender in the box and scored off the left most. Cobb, who ranks in the top 10 in the nation in goals and points per game, scored both of her goals in the first half to give her 24 on the season and put the Trojans ahead 3-1 at halftime.

Less than three minutes into the second half, Mount Olive was called for another foul in the box and Pasko again converted the penalty kick to pull Queens within 3-2. But that would be as close as the Royals would get as a Queens foul three minutes later resulted in the first of Jacobs' two penalty kicks. Gina Dos Santos extended her goal-scoring streak to seven consecutive matches with a goal in the 64th minute.

Mount Olive outshot Queens 25-7 for the match. Queens goalkeeper, Megan Mueller, recorded 8 saves while goalkepper Heather Ressler of Mount Olive had 3 saves.
