Michael Crouch is the first cross country and second track & field athlete to be inducted into the Queens Athletics Hall of Fame. The seven-time USTFCCCA All-American earned the honor three times in cross country, two times in indoor track and field, and two times in outdoor track and field. Crouch is also a three-time national champion after winning the indoor 5,000 meter and outdoor 1,500-meter titles in 2009 and winning the cross country individual national championship in 2010. The Yucca Valley, California native was also named USTFCCCA Southeast Region Athlete of the Year three times, 2009 Conference Carolinas Male Athlete of the Year, 2010 Conference Carolinas Runner of the Year, and 2010 Queens Most Outstanding Male Senior Student-Athlete of the Year. Crouch also holds numerous conference championships in the 10k and was named all-conference and all-region each season in track & field and cross country.
During his time with the Royals, Crouch helped Queens secure three Conference Carolinas Cross Country Championships and three NCAA DII Southeast Region Cross Country Championships. Additionally, the Royals finished inside the top 10 twice at the NCAA Cross Country Championships after making four straight appearances.
Crouch currently holds the indoor 3,000m record (7:57.79) and outdoor 5,000m record (13:40.89) at Queens.
In 2009, Crouch finished 11th in the 3,000m at the USA Indoor National Championships. He was later selected to the USA National Team following the 2010 track season winning silver to help Team USA win U23 NACAC Championship.
Following college, Crouch ran professionally for Reebok for two years in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. at the Zap Fitness Training facility. In 2013, he began his collegiate coaching career which ended in 2016 leading to him working with hundreds of recreational runners online training for races such as the Boston Marathon. He has also started a running vacation business, Go Run Vacation, which mixes some of the best running venues in the country with some of the best vacation spots in the country.
Crouch and his wife, Sarah, have been married for nine years and currently reside in Madison, Alabama. They have one daughter named Charlotte.
