CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Â Queens University of Charlotte men's swimmer
Marius Kusch was named Week 14's Bluegrass Mountain Conference Swimmer of the Week, according to the league's release today. Kusch joins Wingate's Ebba Stillman, who claimed the women's side.

In the team's first meet back in the water since the winter break, Kusch helped the Royals defeat conference opponents Lenoir-Rhyne and Limestone in dual competitions. He would find three individual first-place finishes in addition to adding a relay victory to his performance.

As he started the day in the 200 yard freestyle, Kusch reached the wall with an NCAA "B" Standard cut, clocking a 1:39.60 for the event and topping the pool by over five seconds. He would follow with a first place finish in the 200 yard individual medley, grabbing the top swim with a time of 1:54.30. Kusch's last individual swim was in the 100 yard freestyle. He swam a 46.46 as he posted the top time.

Kusch finished the meet competing in the 400 yard freestyle relay. Swimming lead-off for the team, he clocked a split of 47.44 helping the Royals grab a team time of 3:08.47 for first place.

Kusch and the Royals will compete at the University of South Carolina on January 27 at 4 p.m.
